Sunday Snaps Week 4: 08/26

MAN, is it really Sunday ALREADY?! Where did the time go? As they say, time flies when you're having fun! My trusty co-host Julie reminded me that our Sunday Snaps link-up is on today, and I couldn't believe it! I hope y'all are having a great end to your weekend :-) Here are my personal favorites from this past week!

This photo makes me want to go find the nearest drive-in movie theater and book a date, pronto! I love the lit up drive-in sign with the cars lined up right next to it!

How adorable is this photo? I seriously LOVED playing with Mr. Potato Head dolls growing up (who else loved them some Toy Story movie time?), so this instantly became one of my favorites!

Kaeley has blown me away yet AGAIN this week! I LOVE the focus on this shot, and the way her angle sheds light on how long and seemingly never-ending the tracks are. BEAUTIFUL!

My Sunday Snaps post: week 3

This post had been put on the back burner, because the boyfriend (Joe) and I traveled to California EARLY Friday morning and have been on the go for the last few days. I am EXHAUSTED, but I think I was a perfect tour guide for the mister in my hometown :-) My "Sunday Snaps" post consists of a little sneak peek of our weekend together (a full post will come later on when I'm done vacationing!) Joe and I enjoyed a round of disc-golf with my Dad in Huntington Beach this weekend. It was great to be able to play an outdoor sport without worrying about the Texas heat or those pesky mosquitos! 

"The Big Mouse" would be the reason for our energetic demise yesterday. Joe and I spent the WHOLE day at Disneyland, going on every ride we possibly could and seeing every show available. Needless to say, we were SO tired last night and are SO sore this morning!

It's these moments where I'm ashamed to say I used to be able to go on the Disney rides anytime I pleased while being a cast member... HOW does the newbie end up beating me on the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters' game?!

I have literally JUST gotten home after dropping Joe off at the airport, and am finally decompressing from the busy-but-fun past few days. Not pictured yet are the shots from the line-dancing bar I dragged him to on Friday to meet my friends, a day at the beach where we wrote our names in the sand, fun times on main street in Huntington Beach, and lunch/dinners with my family members at various locations. All in all, I think he had the ultimate California experience, complete with a souvenir shirt I bought him at the end :-) Hope y'all had great weekends, as well! Can't wait to see those pictures on this week's Sunday Snaps Link Up!

I should have warned y'all that I am out of town this week in California, visiting family before starting my Fall 2012 semester, and consequently have not been on a reliable computer for the last 4 1/2 days! Sunday Snaps, Week 2: Here Comes the Sun

Hey All! While Julie and I have decided to give you the leniency to make your OWN theme and link up whatever pictures you want for Sunday Snaps, I thought I would give myself the theme "Here Comes the Sun" as Julie had suggested to me beforehand. Check it out!

I thought this picture was very "summer"y and sun-shine-y enough for my theme. My friend Brooke on the left and I had a little mini photo shoot a few years back when laying out by the pool. Still some of my favorite pictures of us!

This is another picture from our mini photo sesson. I don't think I need to explain why this is "here comes the sun" appropriate! ;-)

I was fortunate enough to catch one of the last days of the Texas state fair last year. (I have a terrible tendency of missing fairs by being out of town.., I'm missing TWO this summer!)

New Year, New Perspectives

As 2011 comes to an end, I love to go back through my photos and take a mental "snapshot" of the year.

My friend from Hawaii posted a good quote recently about pictures, saying that,"You never see the hard times in a photograph, but that's what gets you from one happy snapshot to the next."
