Happy NYE!
New Year's Eve is always a faint memory in the back of a person's mind. Most people can't remember what they ate three days ago for lunch, but they can tell you where they were and who they were with on New Year's Eve three years ago.
I've done so many different crazy adventures on New Year's Eve, from the typical house party, to a huge DJ'd concert, to a saloon bar, even to sitting on the couch at home.
I wish you and yours a fantastic New Year's Eve that you will talk about and smile back on for years to come! Let the stress stay out of your mind for the night, and reflect on how to make next year even better than the last!
My personal resolutions for the year 2012 are as follows:
1. Be healthy.
Last year, my resolution was to stop eating food that is nothing but terrible for me. I have officially accomplished omitting fast food from my every day diet. I rarely crave it anymore, and though I've slipped a few times (mostly for the convenience), my body has started to lash out whenever I try to break that resolution. This year, I want to work on watching what I eat specifically (calories, sugar, protein, etc) and pairing the healthy diet with exercise.
2. Do more productive things with my spare time.
I know I'm not alone when I admit that many times when I am free and have nothing on my agenda, I waste the time by doing little things like watching TV, surfing the web on Facebook or eBay, or playing a game. Facebook is my guilty pleasure. I love seeing pictures of what people have been up to (I think more so since I moved away and can't see them face-to-face). In 2012, I want to be time-conscious on how much time I am wasting by doing meaningless things, and instead using the time to be productive. This doesn't mean that I can't enjoy the time, but instead of reading statuses or watching the latest comedy, I would like to focus my free time on hobbies that I enjoy (like reading, arts and crafts, and baking) or by exercising. This will help me feel like I haven't wasted my time, and help me accomplish more throughout the year!
What are your New Year's resolutions? Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year? If so, what were they and how did you do that?
Be safe tonight, and have a Happy New Year!
XOXO,
~ S ~

Resolutions: To be a better friend and wife, follow my heart and my true ambitions, run a marathon, and in general just be more creative.
ReplyDeleteI prob should add not eating EVERYTHING I bake LOL ;)
Sounds like some sound resolutions, Elisha! Can't wait to see you again :-)
DeleteUPDATE: I am surprised that I have been diligently keeping up with my resolutions! I slip once in a while, but for the majority of the time I have stayed true to the tasks and ambitions I set for myself 6 months ago. Go me! :-)
